Clean Surface |
It is necessary that
the surface that you will be applying the decal is clean and completely
dry. |
| 2. |
Ensure Stick |
Using either a squeegee
or credit card rub over clear tape to ensure decal will transfer with
tape |
| 3. |
Align Decal |
Align decal on outside
of window so that it is in the exact location you would like it and
place a strip of masking tape across the top of the decal. This will
ensure it stays in correct location. |
| 4. |
Remove Backing |
Lift decal and pull away
the white backing paper a few inches at a time. Make sure the lettering
sticks to the transfer tape and not the backing. Your exacto knife
can be used to ease stray letters back into place. |
| 5. |
Apply Decal |
Use credit card or other
object with a smooth edge to apply the lettering. Do not let the bottom
of decal touch the surface prematurely. Use overlapping strokes to
apply starting at the top center and working down and toward each
edge. Once applied rub over surface of entire decal with credit card
to ensure application. |
| 6. |
Remove Tape |
Remove clear transfer
tape by carefully pulling at a 180° angle. If letters begin to
pull up with the transfer tape, they have not been applied firmly
enough. Using your squeegee, go over the lettering again with firm
overlapping strokes then once again attempt to remove the transfer
tape. |
